Original Watercolor on Shikishi Board   unframed

My daughter was skiing out of bounds at the Jackson Hoel Mountain Resort, she sent me a photo that I had to paint. Cody Peak looms in the distance and the scene is magical. Shikishi board is a Japanese board. It has silver metallic paper covered with a thin sheet of rice paper. The silver sheen works well for snowy scenes. There is very thin border of gold paper on the edge of the board.
